He has participated in the development of the South African law in several major areas, and has acted as an expert on SA law in other jurisdictions. He has been briefed on restructurings and the consequences of some of the largest corporate insolvencies, virtually every aspect of banking, and on a wide variety of commercial agreements. He represented parts of the banking community on business rescue. He has acted for foreign governments, auditing firms, educational institutions and insurers. He has also been involved in a number of complex and lengthy commercial negotiations and re-negotiations. He has travelled extensively for clients and with other lawyers across the globe.
